My first attempt at connective writing (mainly for my First Year Composition Class)! My posts’ focus are mainly about art in all varieties: the Artistic Creations specifically within our community and the local art surrounding us. (here I conduct a small-investigation about art and argue a position, a research paper within blog posts!) I highly value art in my life. In a lot of ways I am surrounded by art and have always been interested in all the types of mediums (whether it’d be drawings, photography, fashion, film, music, or literature).

I feel strongly about self-expression and have always found artistic interpretations fascinating. I would also like to focus more on the controversial side of modern artistic creations involving censorship. I also would like to shed light on local artists and the more recent types of art mainly in San Francisco, but  just in general as well.

I art is not always understood. Which is often the point, but when it comes down to it, art is first and foremost a way of expression. To be able to be creative and express who you are is important, whether people realize it or not. There are beautiful things around us, and artists help others to stop and look.

I like how your post isn’t in an essay type format. I feel like it was hard for a lot of us (including myself) to stray from that style of writing.

  2. Almost all of the art you post I studied in my Humanities class. Maybe you should check it out for a summer course?
